These Best Friend Mittens by Kombi have all the specs of adult mitts. The outdoor gortex, primaloft filling and  wool lining is top notch and the design is a slimmer fit then other mittens of similar warmth. They also have a zipper to help put the thumb into the thumb hole. They fit over most jackets. The price is high but worth the investment for those children that spend lots of time in extremely cold weather. Learn more about the Best Friend Mittens by Kombi here.

Toddlers’ Adrenaline Mitts by Outdoor Research

Best for

The Outdoor Research Adrenaline mittens provide maximum movement because of the snug fit. They  are also the only option mentioned in this post that has to be tucked underneath the jacket. This makes them hard to pull off by the children. They are a lighter mitt and while my children have worn them in colder -20C weather I have noticed cold hands once  we come back inside. Learn more about the Outdoor Research Adrenaline Mittens here.

Things to know

If your little  houdini has managed to get them off their hands they are hard to get back on the hands. This is because they have to be put on underneath the  jacket.  They are a lighter  pair of mittens and may not be the best choice for extended play in -20C weather.  These mittens also are not 100% waterproof and are water-resistent.
