Some of you might know that I published my first book last year in June 2020. But, last year when my book “Hikes for Families: A Guide to the Canadian Rockies” launched, I felt like I was not able to properly celebrate. It was June 2020 and there were more important issues happening in the world.
I still started to sell my book, but I did not truly taking time to celebrate or run a “proper” book launch.
But… I LOVE celebrating! Especially when I have the opportunity to partner with some of my favourite brands and giveaway something to you!
This is why I am running four giveaways with different companies every week through the website. Consider it a virtual book launch and tour 😉

This week I have partnered with Saucony to giveaway a pair of their Peregrine shoes! The winner can choose whether they want an adult or a kids Peregrine shoe!
The Saucony adult Peregrine trail runners come in a few different styles.
The Saucony Peregrine 11 is an ultra light trail runner that can tackle aggressive terrain while still being agile. The Saucony Peregrine 11 comes in a wide version for individuals with a wider sole. The waterproof Peregrine 11 GTX® will keep your feet completely dry as you tackle the trails. This is the shoe I am currently hiking and trail running in. The Peregrin 11 ST is a specialized version of comes equipped with deeper lugs, which helps with better grip and allows you to get rid of mud build up fast.
We love the Peregrine hiking trail shoes for our two daughters.
I love that they are versatile and work for school and hiking. They are almost completely waterproof except that they lack gussets (waterproof material) around the tongue of the shoe. This helps them to stay breathable! They also are not bulky and lightweight making them easy for the kids to hike in.
We have used a variety of hiking shoes for our kids and you can find these Saucony shoes highlighted in the post “the best hiking shoes for kids”.
