When I met with Shirley Lynne of Day in the Life of Mom Photography to discuss planning a meet up together we immediately clicked. For this meet up we wanted the women to connect with each other over some coffee and in a beautiful outdoor environment. We also wanted to get moms out from behind the camera and into the picture. Why? When you scroll through most moms cameras you will find 100s of photos of their children. Then, if your lucky you will find the very occasional selfie with them in the photo. Each mama was able to take home a digital copy of a photo with their children!

Get in the Picture Meet Up

The stars completely aligned for the meetup. After 5 days of rain the sun came out just in time for our meet up at Quarry Lake in Canmore. Moms and their littles started to arrive soon after 9:30 am. Most of the kids rushed to play with with the sensory tables from Sensa Kids or the nearby sand by the lake. A favourite for my kids were the “spaghetti worms” in the sensory tables. The sensory tables are made by a local mama from Calgary and can be bought here.

Moms were given an iced latte from Starbucks to cool off in the heat. Photos of the moms with their littles started soon after they arrived. After an hour of outdoor sensory play and photos, the kids were surpised with Mango and Strawberry Brothcicles from High Vibe Health. The organic broth based freezies were a hit! Most of the mamas stayed past the two hour meet up to hang out.

Before each mama left they recieved a produce bag from Gogo bags and Les Produits de Mayas All-Natural Liniment Lotion. This happens to be one of my favourite nighttime products to use these days.
